BEAUTY DECONSTRUCTED
Beauty Deconstructed was a Columbia University-affiliated organization that a group of friends and I created during the winter of 2018. It centered around the intersection of Beauty as an art form, as a mode of self-care, and its societal role--including the industry's genderization and acknowledging and challenging the concept of "beauty standards" and expectations. Our events were both educational and interactive. We taught eventgoers various beauty techniques, educated them on countless beauty products, and facilitated discussions on the global beauty industry and how standards differ across history and cultures.
As Head of Public Relations and Marketing, I brought our organization's visual identity to life through the creation of various branding and promotional elements.
